I've been working on a blanket for my baby for a few months now and I finished last night. People keep telling me how cute it is and how impressed they are that I made it. I'll be honest. It was a lot easier than it looks. The whole blanket was made from single crochets, double crochets, and slip stitches, so as long as you can follow a pattern and get the stitches in the right spots especially when it comes to the animals you should have no problem making it. I got the pattern out of a leisure arts book:
Contest Favorites - 40 Afghans to Crochet. If you like to crochet blankets I would totally recommend this pattern book. If you remember my
post of blankets a couple weeks back I linked to the same book because
this blanket and
this blanket also came from it. It really does have a lot of good afghans and I'm dying to make a couple more of them. I changed up some of the colors in the patterns, but no one ever said I had to use the same colors.
